What is The Bears private military?

What is it?

The Bears private military are an private military organization within GTA Online. The goal of The Bears private military is to provide all our members realistic yet fun and accessible military experiences, both akin to real militaries and private security forces

What can I experience?

Within The Bears we have three military branches, including ground forces, an air force, and special forces, each of which you can learn more about below

The experiences within The Bears differ from branch to branch, from attacking enemy encampments, conducting close air support, or infiltrating enemy lines. It is possible to join multiple branches should one desire to

What do The Bears do on GTA?

The mud and blood

At its core The Bears are a private military, and therefor a lot of the activities are of course military related. Military activities include everything from military basic training, to bi-weekly practice and maintenance of your military skills, as well as larger military operations

The guns and fun

When you are done being trained, your skills are sharpened and the world has been saved, it's time to let loose. All members of The Bears are free to (and encouraged to) go out on their own time and have fun together, whether it be gambling, robbing banks, or whatever your hearts may desire. Your unit are your brothers in arms, and brothers in arms are like family

What are the ground forces?

What are the ground forces?

The ground forces are the equivalent of the army. If you want to be on the ground, fighting with armored vehicles, and being in the shit first hand, then the ground forces are for you

What do the ground forces do?

Ground forces are responsible for variety of ground combat and operations, from attacking and defending positions, to search and destroy or capture missions

The ground forces are also responsible for security operations, including protection of the public, bodyguard detail during meetings and for VIPs, and on site security for car meets and other public events

What we look for in a soldier

Are you tough and can handle being in the shit on the ground? Can you avoid getting yourself killed and kill others face to face? Then you might be what we look for in the ground forces. Dedication, perseverance and brotherhood

What you need as a soldier

As a soldier of the ground forces you require equipment and weapons, this includes:

  • Access to Mk II weapons

  • Access to military grade vehicles

  • A radio (microphone) for communication

  • Competence and skill as an effective soldier

  • Ability to cooperate and work with your squad

What is the air force?

What is the air force?

The air force are the flyboys of The Bears, both a branch of their own, as well as a close friend of the other two branches. The air force specializes in fighter jets and attack helicopters, as well other large misc. aircraft

What does the air force do?

The air force on is responsible for patrolling prohibited airspace from intrusions, as well as civilian airspace for foreign military aircraft, and defending the nation's airspace if necessary 

The air force is also responsible for helping getting people and cargo from A to B, but more important it is also responsible for helping keep the combat troops on the ground in one piece, providing close air support when required

Air force requirements

What we look for in a pilot

Do you have fast reflexes and can handle being the target of the enemy? Are you ready to help keep the air safe and the boys on the ground? Then you might be what we look for in the pilot! Fast, smart, lethal

What you need as a pilot

As a pilot you require the correct aircraft and equipment, this includes:

  • Access to Mk II weapons preferred

  • Access to military grade aircraft

  • A radio (microphone) for communication

  • The reflexes and skills to be a pilot

  • Ability to cooperate and coordinate with people in the air and on the ground

The special forces - aka the Special Reconnaissance Division (SRD)

What are the special forces?

What are the special forces?

The special forces are elite units trained to undertake special operations, often the missions which require more brains than brawn, or more finesse than firepower

What do special forces do?

As mentioned special forces take special operations which require specially trained military personnel, for this reason much cannot be disclosed

However as their name implies the SRD are known for deep recon and infiltration, as well as compound raids and elimination or extraction of high value targets

What we look for in the SRD

Are you the type of person to go the extra mile, the type of person that won't quit? Do you possess extreme skill and dedication and readiness to take on any mission? Then you might be who the SRD wants

What you need as SRD

As a special forces operative it is vital that you have access to speciality and state of the art equipment and weapons as well as vehicles, these include:

  • Access to all weapons and Mk II weapons

  • Access to high grade military vehicles and aircraft

  • A high quality radio (microphone) for communication

  • Extreme dedication and skill

  • Ability to execute and complete complex tasks and problems

  • High levels of endurance and perseverance

  • Ability to operate off-grid and in small isolated teams
